Note: A series of pseudo dynamic tests will be performed for the CFT/BRB
frame by employing the networked collaborative experiment technology recently
developed in NCREE. See EXPERIMENT METHOD for
more information.
1 The test was interrupted due to the occurrence of buckling
of a gusset plate at the first floor. [related
photos]
2 The test was stopped as we found cracking of concrete near
the gusset-to-concrete interface. In order to present potential out-of-plane
instability of the gusset, stiffeners were added to the gusset plate.
3 In the 2/50 event test, one of the CFT column foundation
slipped by 15 mm toward north direction. Cracks at the corner of the foundation
block were observed. After the test, the tie downs were loosened before
adding a cross beam to spread the town down force.
